The defining hallmark of the PRS S2 Custom 24-08 is its revolutionary switching matrix. While standard guitars limit you to simple humbucker or total coil-split modes, the "08" platform integrates a 3-way toggle switch alongside two independent mini-toggle switches. This empowers you to individually split the neck or bridge USA-made 85/15 humbuckers into true single-coils. The result is a palette of eight completely different pickup tones, ranging from high-octane, blistering humbucker growls to crisp, vintage single-coil spank, or even a hybrid of both simultaneously.

Beneath its incredibly versatile electronic layout lies a classic, resonant tonewood recipe. Built around a contoured mahogany back for maximum warmth and low-end depth, it is crowned with a beautifully carved, asymmetric bevel-cut maple top that adds top-end bite and articulation. Dressed in a rich Black Amber finish, the guitar is coated in a premium, high-gloss nitrocellulose overcoat. This thin, durable finish not only turns heads under stage lights but allows the wood to naturally breathe, yielding enhanced organic resonance and sustain that matures over time.

Engineered to strike the perfect balance between price and performance, the S2 Custom 24-08 delivers effortless playability. The 25-inch scale mahogany set neck features the ultra-comfortable Pattern Thin profile, an updated version of PRS's traditional Wide Thin shape that is ideal for players who pivot with their thumb on the back of the neck or those with slightly smaller hands. This insanely fast neck is topped with a 10-inch-radius, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard adorned with the iconic PRS Bird inlays. For expressive performance freedom, the guitar anchors down with a smooth PRS Patented Tremolo bridge and Low-Mass Locking Tuners for unshakeable tuning reliability.
