3-Ply New Zealand Pine Shell & Natural Rawhide Head

Expand your percussion palette with the deep acoustic body and vintage visual character of the LP Matador 11-3/4″ Conga in Whiskey Barrel Finish. Designed by Latin Percussion to provide gigging percussionists and students with pro-level tone at an accessible value, this primary conga drum delivers rich midrange resonance and versatile dynamic expression while boasting an aesthetic inspired by traditional spirits barrels.

Engineered to deliver full-bodied acoustic body and authentic tactile response:
-3-Ply New Zealand Pine Construction: Built with a 30″ tall, 3-ply pine shell that naturally produces warm, deep fundamental frequencies and rich harmonic resonance compared to standard hardwood shells.
-Hand-Selected Natural Rawhide Head: Fitted with a premium 11-3/4″ rawhide head that reacts dynamically to finger taps, open tones, heel-toe technique, and high-velocity slaps.
-Whiskey Barrel Finish: Features a multi-tonal wood grain finish styled with black steel hoop accents, making it a perfect visual partner to LP's Whiskey Barrel Cajon and matching Matador conga line.
