Perfect Blend of Warmth &Control

For drummers seeking a versatile snare sound that can withstand aggressive playing while maintaining strict tonal clarity, the Remo Controlled Sound® Coated Bottom Black Dot™ 14" drumhead is an industry standard. Whether you are laying down backbeats in the studio, playing unmiked on a live stage, or practicing at home, this head delivers the punch and focus modern drum mixes demand.

Constructed with a single ply of premium 10-mil coated film, this drumhead provides the crisp stick response, textured brush articulation, and warm, classic mid-range tones that coated heads are famous for. What sets the Controlled Sound® series apart is the addition of a 5-mil Black Dot™ laminated to the bottom of the head. By positioning the dot underneath, Remo allows your sticks to make full contact with the coated top texture while utilizing the dot to naturally choke out harsh, ringing overtones.
