Give your low-end the clarity it deserves. The Remo Ambassador® Coated 16" drumhead is the world’s most popular choice for a reason, and at 16 inches, it’s the absolute standard for getting the most out of your floor tom or a small bass drum. It hits that elusive acoustic sweet spot, delivering deep, warm, and wide-open tones paired with a crisp, bright stick attack and just enough controlled sustain to keep your low frequencies punchy and focused.

Built from a single layer of 1-ply 10-mil coated film, this head lets your drum shell vibrate naturally while offering an incredibly expressive, sensitive feel under your sticks. The specialized textured coating is perfect for a 16" head, as it subtly tames harsh, ringy overtones and enhances stick definition. Whether you're laying down heavy rock fills or dynamic jazz rhythms, it responds beautifully to every hit.

Because the Ambassador Coated doesn't choke your drum's natural resonance, it works flawlessly across any musical genre. It allows the true character of your drum shell to cut through the mix, whether you tune it loose and deep for a fat thud, or a bit higher for a singing, melodic ring. From local club gigs to professional studio tracking, it’s the most trusted 1-ply head in drum history.
