Add a nuanced texture to your rhythmic arrangements with the Pearl Traditional Bamboo Claves. Claves serve as the foundational timekeeping heartbeat for afro-cuban, salsa, and contemporary pop ensembles. By stepping away from heavy, ultra-bright exotic hardwoods, Pearl has engineered an alternative that introduces a broader palette of organic acoustic overtones, expanding your collection of secondary percussion assets.

The core characteristic of these traditional claves is their select bamboo construction. Bamboo naturally features a less dense, fibrous cellular composition compared to standard tropical woods. This structural trait gives the PCL-10FCB pair a characteristically airy, light tone that is explicitly lower in pitch than Pearl's "Chin-Chan" hardwood claves (Model PCL-10FCW). When struck together using a proper acoustic cupped-hand technique, they produce a rich, resonant click that avoids harsh or metallic frequencies, instead providing a warm, organic wood response.
