Synthetic Head & Unobstructed Through-Shell Tuning

Expand your hand percussion setup with the deep, resonant voice of the LP Tunable Tar Frame Drum, 18″ x 2.5″. Crafted by Latin Percussion to honor ancient frame drum traditions while offering road-ready durability, this 18-inch model yields an expanded low-end fundamental tone, making it ideal for world music performance, studio recording, and sound therapy applications.

Engineered for deep resonance and comfortable handling during extended playing sessions:
-11-Ply Poplar Construction: The 18-inch diameter provides a rich, low-pitched bass response ("doum") and open rim resonance ("tak") while maintaining a manageable 2.5-inch shell depth.
-Contoured Thumb Slot: Features a smoothly rounded thumb hole integrated directly into the shell to ensure a comfortable, anti-fatigue grip for dynamic hand techniques.
-Black-to-Natural Fade: Finished in a high-grade gradient that highlights the natural grain of the wood for a refined, professional look on stage.
