The Zildjian 18" K Custom Dark Crash Cymbal delivers a deep, full-bodied crash sound with a quick attack and rapid decay. Crafted using Zildjian's specialized over-hammering techniques, this 18-inch thin-weight crash produces dark, complex overtones with expanded low-end presence and volume potential. The unique hammering pattern enables the cymbal to react with the effortless response of a lighter crash while projecting clearly in loud musical environments. It is a premier choice for drummers needing a full-voiced, musical dark crash for both studio recording and stage performances.

Masterful K Custom Hammering & Tonal Profile

Offering rich acoustic character and low-frequency depth, the Zildjian 18" K Custom Dark Crash expands the sonic scope of the K Custom lineup. By applying specialized over-hammering processes to classic B20 bronze, Zildjian has created an 18-inch crash that blends deep, trashy wash with crisp initial articulation.

Engineered to deliver rich, dark complexity with controlled sustain:
-Specialized Over-Hammering: Unique heavy hammering across the bow breaks up surface tension, yielding a dark, dry pitch with an exceptionally fast decay profile.
-18-Inch Body & Thin Weight: The larger 18-inch footprint provides enhanced low-end body and volume projection, opening up instantly at low-to-high dynamics with a soft stick feel.
-Controlled Wash: The rapid decay prevents unwanted overtone build-up, keeping your sound articulate during fast, successive crash accents.
